My name is Andrés Bo I am based in Colombia, i travel throughout the Americas working on issues of social justice, indigenous communities, migration and the fight against drugs.
My interest in journalism was sparked by the films of Marta Rodriguez and Patricio Guzman. Since I was very young, I have been experimenting with audiovisuals, collaborating with social movements, indigenous communities and NGOs since 2009. I started collaborating with local media such as El Espectador, Bacánika Magazine and ViceCol, to then make the leap to international media in 2019, working for CNN International, ARD, Fluter Magazin, Taz Die, Republik Magazin, DW, Rest of the World, among others. In addition to my work with the media, I have always collaborated with human rights organizations such as ONIC, Dejusticia, Fairtunes Colombia, Mevico and Asokatio. In 2022, I worked as a fixer for Rest of the World, the Swiss channel SRF, and Vist Projects.
Outside my work as a journalist, since 2013, inspired by Falls Borda's IAP, we started the Abauda Andagueda process with young people from the Embera Katio community of Alto Andagueda, Bagadó Chocó. We created joint projects focused on music, evidencing the cultural syncretisms of the new generations in their artistic expressions, such as carranga music, hip hop and reggaeton in their traditional language.

Mi nombre es Andrés Bo y vivo en Colombia. Me desplazo por todo el continente americano trabajando en temas de justicia social, comunidades indígenas, migración y la lucha contra las drogas.
Mi interés por el periodismo surgió al conocer las películas de Marta Rodríguez y Patricio Guzmán. Desde muy joven, me he dedicado a experimentar con el audiovisual, colaborando con movimientos sociales, comunidades indígenas y ONGs desde el año 2009. Comencé colaborando con medios locales como El Espectador, Revista Bacánika y ViceCol, para luego dar el salto a medios internacionales en 2019, trabajando para CNN Internacional, ARD, Fluter Magazin, Taz Die, Republik Magazin, DW, Rest of the World, entre otros. Además de mi trabajo con los medios, siempre he colaborado con organizaciones de derechos humanos como la ONIC, Dejusticia, Fairtunes Colombia, Mevico y Asokatio. En 2022, incursioné como fixer para Rest of the World, la cadena suiza SRF y también para Vist Projects
Fuera de mis labores como periodista, desde 2013, inspirado en la IAP de Falls Borda, iniciamos el proceso Abauda Andagueda junto a los jóvenes de la comunidad Embera Katio del Alto Andagueda, Bagadó Chocó. Creamos proyectos en conjunto centrados en la música, evidenciando los sincretismos culturales de las nuevas generaciones en sus expresiones artísticas, como la música carranga, el hip hop y el reguetón en su lenguaje tradicional.
